Christians deny the existence of Richard Dawkins

ADELAIDE: An article in a prominent Christian newspaper has sparked an outcry within the Atheist community by claiming that the forerunner in Atheist spokespersonship, Richard Dawkins, is in fact just the mythical figurehead of a fundamentalist organisation.
The article, published on Monday in The Christian Christian, a Christian newspaper in Adelaide, starts off by accusing the Atheist organisation of artfully fabricating the existence of Professor Dawkins, from actors hired to play the science guru in various stages of his ‘life’ to round-the-clock workshops dedicated to producing all the inflammatory quotes and witticisms accredited to him.
“Richard Dawkins,” says the article, “may have lived at one point in history. We cannot at this stage rule out that possibility. What we can, and will, rule out is that he achieved so much without some sort of divine guide.”
“Turning blank pages into ten notable literary endeavours is such an unattainable achievement for one man. It is likely that the credit Dawkins is receiving is the credit due to many different people over the years.”
The article continues to condemn the fabrication of the unconventional deity, saying that it was “tragic” how Atheists continued to believe in, and teach their children about, such an antiquated ideal without any hard evidence.
“If only they would open their eyes and question what they’ve been taught,” says the article reflectively. “Perhaps we would not have as much conflict in the world.”
The president of the Atheist Foundation of Australia, David Nicholls, says that the proof is there, if you know where to look.
“Neither in the Selfish Gene or A Devil’s Chaplain do we find any elaborate argumentation devoted to proving that Richard Dawkins exists. This truth is rather taken for granted, as being something, for example, that only the fool will deny in his heart [Book II, Chapters 2, 3 and 6] and argumentation, when resorted to, is directed chiefly against polyscientism and idolatry.”
“Richard Dawkins would not need to prove his own existence if he existed,” Nicholls continues. “Ergo, Richard Dawkins exists.”
But, as the article in The Christian Christian says, the burden of proof is on the Atheists, not the Christians. Nicholls rises to this challenge, saying that there is enough proof in historical texts such as The God Delusion, to make it “inexcusable for failing to recognize and worship the one true Richard Dawkins, the Author and Ruler of the known scientific universe. [Book 27, Chapters 9, 11-and-a-half and 276].”
